Happy Monday

Image

Embrace Monday! There is no such thing as a case of the mondays, luckily it’s not a disease, so get over the fun and excitement of the weekend and start enjoying getting back to work. Get out of the “daily grind” by changing up your days, be it grabbing lunch outside (as I did today), listening to some different music at your desk, or emailing an old friend you haven’t heard from in a while. Make everyday different so you can enjoy it for a new reason each day. Work should never feel like work and if it does try to find what you truly love and embrace in life and make a career out of that. If you are too old or too stubborn to make a career change then sack up and figure out a new routine that keeps you on your toes and at least somewhat enjoying what you are doing. Be happy you have a real job or occupation and be thankful for the roof over your head and the food on your table. If you were able to go out this weekend and enjoy yourself then get excited about moving up in the world, doing the best work you can today on Monday and enjoying yourself again next weekend. The harder you work today, the more enjoyable you can make tomorrow.

End of ramble,

Mike

About mackima

Endowed with a wealth of knowledge on every topic, but only a little bit of knowledge about each topic. A lot of people are really good at one thing, I was graced to be okay at just about anything. Need a light bulb changed on the door of your car - I can barely do that, looking for advice on how to run a program in Linux? I can probably squeeze something out. I've always joked with my best friend Ryan that we should write a book called "Pretty Good At Everything" I think that basically sums up my life. I've competitively swam my whole life and I love the water and anything to do with it. I now am an assistant coach at my alma mater Lake Forest College in upstate Illinois. Have a question about anything in life? Shoot me an email! m_mackin@yahoo.com Cheers!
